Thomas Janke becomes Mayor of Newport

Cllr Thomas Janke has been elected by his fellow town councillors as the new Mayor of Newport.

Thomas committed to fostering unity and putting community first:

This town has always had a strong sense of community, and I am proud to represent it. As Mayor, I will work hard to serve every resident and ensure that the interests of Newport remain at the heart of everything we do.
