People power stops toilet roll factory

Lib Dem councillors have expressed their thanks to all of the residents who objected to the proposed toilet roll factory near the Shawbirch roundabout. Telford & Wrekin Council requested Homes England withdraw their application following more than 1,000 objections from residents, and representations made by councillors Bill Tomlinson, Karen Blundell and Karen Tomlinson. The planning application was subsequently withdrawn.

The fight for our A&E goes on

Telford and Wrekin Liberal Democrats and Independent council colleague, Peter Scott (Newport North and West), are calling for all parties and both our local MPs to show unity in their condemnation of the recent Future Fit decision. This sees Telford lose it's A & E and the Women & Children's unit to Shrewsbury.
