The Lib Dems are celebrating electoral success in Telford & Wrekin and across the country in the local elections. Locally, we grew our council group by 50% and now have six councillors. This was mirrored nationally, with a net gain of 407 council seats.
The number of Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) on the streets has fallen dramatically by 30.7% since 2015.

Telford & Wrekin Council are finally taking action at Bratton Play Area following a successful petition organised by Cllr Kim Tonks and resident Siobhan Bergman.
Liberal Democrat candidate Mark Wiggin has won the Newport Town Council by-election. Cllr Wiggin gained 36.6% of the vote, beating the Conservative who achieved 29.9%. There was also a Labour candidate and three independents on the ballot, held in the South ward of the town.
Mark Wiggin has been selected as the Liberal Democrat Focus Team candidate in the Town Council by-election on Thursday 29th September.
